Announcing Louper's Studio Tier: The New Standard in Real-Time Video Collaboration

I am very proud to announce the launch of our new Studio tier, a comprehensive solution tailored to the unique needs of small & medium businesses (SMBs) and enterprise customers working in film, television, advertising and gaming post-production.

With the launch of our Studio tier, we're expanding our offering to accommodate teams with advanced requirements, providing powerful new features whilst retaining Louper’s signature ease of use, reliability and cost-effectiveness.

Our journey began by offering a simple, low-cost solution for freelancers who were looking for a powerful, yet affordable, real-time video collaboration platform. The positive response from the freelance community has been overwhelming, and we are grateful for the encouragement that has helped us grow and improve Louper.

We have always intended to offer an enterprise-level product to the most demanding customers in the industry, and the release of the Studio tier allows us to do just that. Since our official launch in November 2021, Louper has been battle-tested by thousands of users every day from countries all over the world. 24 hours a day, creative teams rely on Louper to enable them to work together faster, more precisely and with greater confidence and clarity.

The Studio tier is a comprehensive solution for companies. Features include client-side watermarking, custom branding, granular control over teammate permissions, 24/7 support and the ability to manage multiple rooms under a single dashboard.

Client-side watermarking

It has always been possible to add encoder-side watermarks in LBS, with the benefit that these are burnt into the actual video stream. The downside is that these watermarks are not unique to each participant viewing the stream. Client-side watermarking addresses this problem by adding a unique watermark containing the participant's display name, IP address and email address to video streams inside a Louper room. Additionally, the date and time is shown, as well as session ID information to aid in tracking. Watermarks are unique to each participant in a room, meaning each user is shown their own identifying information overlaid on the video stream.

Custom branding

You can now add your company logo to your account. Your logo will be displayed prominently in the top left of your dashboard and inside all your rooms.

Granular control over teammate permissions

On Plus and Pro plans, you can set a room to be accessible publicly, meaning that anyone with the room link can access your room, or set it to team-only, meaning that only users who are part of your team can access your room. The Studio plan takes this a step further by offering both private rooms and private filespaces. This means that you can make individual rooms and filespaces accessible only to specified teammates, rather than accessible to your entire team. This is especially useful when managing multiple rooms under a single dashboard.

Multi-room support

The Studio tier allows you to create and manage multiple rooms under a single account. This is a great solution for companies running multiple projects, and when combined with granular teammate permissions provides a flexible and scalable solution for organizations of all sizes.

Upcoming updates to the Studio plan will further enhance the real-time collaboration experience by adding session recording, SSO and multi-factor authentication, an Apple TV app, an increased per-room participant limit, and more.

I want to reassure our freelance users that we remain committed to supporting your needs as well. The Free, Plus and Pro plans will continue with no price increases, ensuring that individual professionals can continue to use Louper as an integral part of their workflows. The only substantial change is that Plus and Pro plans are limited to one room per account (the Studio tier offers multi-room accounts).
